I usually like to note these notable dates with a blog post. I remember in 04/04/04 I wrote my first blog post with a Six Apart serice called TypePad. I had been a beta tester of that blogging tool before that. Too bad that when I stopped paying for their service all my posts disappeared. [...]

I posted all the information and links I could find about emerald ash borer beetles and ash trees over on my ComoPark.us website. There are a lot of ash trees in Como Park and in Saint Paul (50,000 I think). Minnesota has more ash trees than all other states except for Maine.

I went to the town hall meeting at the Como Park Pavilion Sat. morning, Feb 28, 2009. Senator Ellen Anderson addressed the group then responded to questions and made note of suggestions.

Last fall the City of Saint Paul explained the process for redeveloping the Como Park swimming pool. The adjacent Woodland Classroom and McMurray Field area along with their parking and traffic needs will be included in the redesign. Living in Como Park is great. I am within walking distance from a conservatory, a zoo, a lake, a golf coarse, a wonderful natural woods, and many, many activities that are going on almost nightly.
Como Park is almost too much of a good thing judging from the traffic and parking congestion.

My wife, Ann Mayhew, and I went to a Schweiss Reunion in Minnesota the first Saturday in August, 2008. Ann’s mother was a Schweiss and had lots of brothers and sisters. Dick Schweiss has a Schweiss genealogy website if you want the total picture.

I first started reading Nova Spivack’s blog “Minding the Planet” when I was beta testing Six Apart’s Typepad blogging tool. I remember a post in 2004 titled, “Minding the Planet: From Semantic Web to Global Mind”. I have been waiting four years to be part of this vision and my wait is almost over.

I have been locked out of this blog for six months. I finally used a risky technique and figured out why my passwords and logins were failing. I was ready to delete the whole blog and start over. Look for a lot of changes soon.
